I’m jealous that you got a three day weekend, though!
I like the DNA line. I am not sure what it is, but I know it to be true. My students have a 5-day weekend coming up at the end of the month, and I’ve been dreading that since the first day of school.
(I only have a three-day weekend. The other two days I have staff development. Boo!)
Well, their lives are bonkers generally, and when they get used to your classroom, they begin to learn to settle down . . . at least for YOU. But then the three day weekend begins again, and everything that made them bonkers to begin with is unleashed without one drop of your calming or at least regimented influence. Thus the BONKERS!
