Too Hot to Even Attempt a Real Title.

I can’t be held responsible for my actions in this heat.  I may have been on the verge of throwing a temper tantrum today I was so miserable.  I’m getting zits from the humidity.  Gross, disgusting, greasy, grown-up zits.  The thermometer in the science lab said it was nearly 113 in that room.  Not kidding.  I just let the kids color all day because even I couldn’t keep a straight thought in my head.

All but one of our water fountains is out of order due to construction and the closest working one is all the way on the other side of the building from my room.  I had some serious concerns about dehydration so I kept shuttling water bottles back and forth to the supply closet (which teachers aren’t allowed in anymore but I secretly have a key…it mysteriously showed up on my key chain at the beginning of my second year when we got our classroom sets…and I may have neglected to turn that particular key in last year…) because the Almighty Administration keeps a water cooler hidden inside.  It’s all for the kids.  And maybe some for me as well.

  1. You’re lucky to have that key. I bring bottles of water every day, and I really couldn’t get by without ’em, especially these days. Amazing they keep that water cooler locked away like that. Somebody must like you if you got that key.
