Searching

It is fascinating what comes up on any given internet search. We have all, at some point or another, sifted through piles of useless information while we attempt to find whatever it is we are looking for. My blog has indeed joined the ranks of the ‘useless stuff’ pages, as is evidenced by some of the search terms that have led people to my blog:

‘bulimic less tarter on teeth’

‘m’s top model 2006’

‘”lost my voice”+”nothing came out”‘

‘old maid humor’

‘m and ms cartoon style’

‘Why shouldn’t gum chewing be a bill for a classroom?’

‘picking our battles + middle school’

These are all that have come up only once, and the reason I am even writing this post is because of the rapid increase of hits on this blog. This can mostly be accounted for by the following search phrases:

‘Teacher Clothers’ and ‘Student Dictionary’

When I searched the terms on my own I couldn’t actually find my blog in the listings, yet somehow, about 15 people per day are led to this site by one of those searches…very odd…

  1. Miss!

I always get a kick out of reading the Google searches that lead people to my blog…but none are quite as unique as yours!

  2. Not Quite Grown Up

I am consistently in the top 5 for searches on “teacher clothes”. It’s really kind of annoying. And I can’t make it stop because that phrase is in the link to one of my posts.

I have a stat counter that can give me different info about where people are coming to my site from. It shows if they clicked a link from another website, or if they searched something on google that led here, or if they typed the link directly (or from a bookmark for example). When it shows the google clicks, I can see the search terms. 🙂 I don’t have time to check out all the features, but I like looking at the searches…

I do love your old maid humor.
